This is a 2 piece Civil War dress/gown. It is made of 100% cotton reproduction fabric. It is a beautiful dark green background with a small Reproduction print cotton. It is accented with wide black grosgrain ribbon..

The bodice has a lovely v-shaped neckline with dropped shoulders and pagoda styled sleeves. It 4 darts in front with princess seams in the back, for the perfect fit. It is fully lined and closes down the front with black fabric covered buttons down the front. . The neckline of the bodice is finished with hand pleated ribbon. The sleeves have two rows of hand pleated ribbon, as well. It has a pointed hemline in front. The hemline has been hand finished.

It is designed to have a dickie or full blouse to be worn underneath the bodice. In the summer, use a dickie for neckline coverage or add a full blouse in the winter for warmth.

The skirt is extra full. The bottom tier is 360 inches around, the middle tier is 270 inches around and the top tier is 180 inches around and has been hemmed to approimately 44 inches. It has been handpleated onto a matching waistband and closes in the back with hooks and eyes. Each tier is edged with matching wide grosgrain ribbon.

The gown, itself, measures waist of 38 inches with a bust of 46 inches
