The Civil War day dress bodice has a v-shaped peplum hemline, which hangs gracefully over the skirt. It has a jewel neck. It closes down the front with hidden hooks and eyes. It has been accented with matching brocade ribbon on the pagoda styled sleeves. It is fully lined,

The skirt has 3 tiers that have been accented with a row of the wide Brocade ribbon. The bottom tier is 360 inches around, the middle tier is 270 inches around and the top tier is 180 inches around. It is fully lined and has been hand pleated onto a matching waistband. It is approximately 44 inches long, hemmed. It closes in the back with hidden hooks and eyes. It is fully lined with unbleached muslin.

The gown, itself, measures waist of 38 inches and bust of 44 inches.
