This is a 2 piece gown made of a of a eggshell colored, windowpane voile, cotton blend. It is accented with wide black gimp braid and black covered buttons.

The Civil War day dress bodice has a slight peplum hemline, which hangs gracefully over the skirt. It has a jewel neck. It closes down the front with black fabric covered buttons. It has been accented with matching black gimp braid on the pagoda styled sleeves. It has matching undersleeves, which are attached to the bodice, which are made of the same voile. It is fully lined, except the undersleeves. The undersleeves are extra full and fill out the pagoda oversleeves.

The skirt has 3 tiers that have been accented with a row of the wide black gimp braid. The bottom tier is 360 inches around, the middle tier is 270 inches around and the top tier is 180 inches around. It is fully lined and has been hand pleated onto a matching waistband. It is approximately 44 inches long, hemmed. It closes in the back with hidden hooks and eyes. It is fully lined with eggshell colored broadcloth.

The gown, itself, measures waist of 38 inches and bust of 44 inches.
